Even though we are strictly speaking in the French Quarter, a touch of Italy can be found on almost every house corner in Munich. The hip fortuna cafebar has been around since 2002 and brings dolce vita to Sedanstraße with coffee from Florence, panini, farmhouse breads and affogato.
Behind this address is the shop and studio of Petra Fischer, who is passionate about firing ceramics. At 1260 degrees, she creates beautiful handmade bowls in various colours and sizes. You can also buy stoneware tablecloths and coffee mats - a great place to go for a souvenir that not everyone has.
You can get a continental breakfast anywhere. But you can only have weisswurst with pretzels in Munich! The chef in the Hinterhof café comes from Sri Lanka and augments the extensive breakfast menu every weekend, with a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast of fresh flatbread (Roti), coconut (pol) and homemade, spicy Sambal.
